Master (Taxing Office and Enforcement of Judgments)
NIJAC is inviting applications for the office of Master (Taxing Office and Enforcement of Judgments).
It is intended to make one appointment and to maintain a reserve list for 12 months from the anticipated date of appointment (1 August 2024).
It is anticipated that this Master will ordinarily discharge their functions primarily in the Taxing Office and the Enforcement of Judgments Office of the High Court.
Where workload or other business needs dictate, the Master may from time to time be required by the Lady Chief Justice or Presiding Master to discharge the functions of a Master in another jurisdiction of the High Court.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for appointment as Master (Taxing Office and Enforcement of Judgements) is to, by 1 August 2024, be:
- a member of the Bar of Northern Ireland of at least seven years standing; or
- a solicitor of the Court of Judicature of Northern Ireland of at least seven years standing.
Salary: £157,705 per annum. This post is pensionable.

* Section 107 (1) of the Judicature (NI) Act 1978 provides for the aggregation of years’ standing for holding office of solicitors who have been barristers, and vice versa.
