Judicial office is a position of utmost trust. It is essential that you advise NIJAC of any character or personal integrity issue which may arise during the course of your application. Failure to disclose any material matter will have an adverse effect on your application. You have a continuing responsibility to disclose any relevant matter that arises at any time up to appointment.
NIJAC has published Character Guidance for applicants to help you decide whether there is anything in your past conduct, or present circumstances, which should be declared or that might affect your application for judicial appointment. This guidance applies equally to applicants, should they by legal professionals, existing judicial office holders, doctors or lay members of the public.
