NIJAC is inviting Expressions of Interest for the office of fee paid Medical Members of the Pensions Appeal Tribunals.
It is intended to make two appointments and to maintain a reserve list for 12 months.
The purpose of the office is to assist in the conduct of Pensions Appeal Tribunals hearings and in particular by providing medical input both during the hearing itself and in the subsequent decision-making process.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for appointment as a Medical Member of the Pensions Appeal Tribunals, a person must, by the anticipated date of first appointment (30 April 2022) be:
• A registered medical practitioner with the General Medical Council of at least 7 years’ standing. Registered medical practitioner means a fully registered person within the meaning of the Medical Act 1983 whether or not they hold a licence to practice under the Act.
Fee: £507.72 per full day | £253.86 per half day.
Closing date: Monday 28 February 2022 at 12noon.
