A Role Play may be used when recruiting for salaried court judiciary.
Applicants will be given time to read and prepare for the Role Play, which is frequently (but not exclusively) a court based scenario. The Role Play will last approximately 20 minutes and the Selection Committee will be present to assess the exercise. There will then be a short break followed by a de-brief between the applicant and the Selection Committee. The purpose of the de-brief is to allow the Selection Committee an opportunity to ask applicants questions regarding the role-play and their handling of it. This may also be an opportunity for the applicant to clarify what their decisions were in the event that they did not complete the exercise in time.
